Creative Ways to Use Wallpaper

I love wallpaper! I often get resistance from clients over using wallpaper in their projects, because the only reference they have of the product, is in their grandma’s house, or in a room that was out-of-bounds for them when they were kids.

However, wallpaper has come a long way since then, both in design and durability. Today, the options range from soft muted colors, to bold rich prints and textures. Other are wipable even washable!

Outside of your standard wall application, here are some unique ways to inspire you, to rethink using wallpaper for your next interior design project. #getinspired

The Powder Room.

There is typically nothing special about this room. Simply put, it’s a closet-sized space, where your guests get to ‘handle their business’. Powder rooms, or half baths, are often small, boring and most of them don’t even have windows. The good news is, this is the one room in your whole house that affords you the opportunity to be bold, clever and fun!

Simple goes a long way. I love how this geometric print adds the right amount of punch and contrast to this otherwise boring white staircase.
